My First Day

Started my first day of my 2+2 degree in early childhood studies and I have to say scared me half to death!!! I think I should of put more into preparation and looked more into the course itself before I started. Having said that I think once I get going I will eventually start understanding what's going on and not have a look of stupidity on my face lol .

  1. Hi Dan, as a fellow 2+2er - entering the final year now, I just want to assure you that your feelings of apprehension are normal...at the beginning, the road seems very long, not signposted particularly well and rather daunting...however, rest assured that you will settle in and find your feet. Read lots, ask lots of questions and utilise the expertise of your tutors and fellow students. If you put the effort in, the rewards are there for the taking!
Check out my blog... http://jensnapes.blogspot.com/ started at the beginning of my 2nd year, it's a map of my ups and downs! Yet, here I am...successful Warwick student...who WILL graduate next summer! That'll be you before you know it!
    Best of luck
    Jen

  4. Hi Dan

    Loving the blog!!!

I have just done my first year and getting ready to start the next year. It is very daunting i know and you will question yourself several times if your doing the right thing, i know a few of us have, but you have to make use of the resources such as the tutors, blogging, facebook etc, they make you see you are not feeling these things on your own and you CAN do this!

The hardest part for me was getting that first assignment completed, i wasn't sure how to write it, the contents, referencing etc and panicked like mad about it, but just seek out lots of books, journals and most of all speak to the tutors, they are there to help. At first you may feel a bit awkward and wonder what they will think of you, but please don't worry about that, they are not their to judge!!

    Good Luck xx
